By installing or using LocaleFlow ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our Service.

These terms apply to all users of the Service, including merchants who install the app and any authorized users of those accounts.

2. Description of Service

LocaleFlow is a Shopify application that provides automatic translation services for store content. The Service includes:

  • AI-powered translation of products, collections, pages, blogs, menus, and metafields
  • Automatic synchronization of translations when content changes
  • Custom translation controls including term rules and blacklists
  • Pricelist support with rounding options

3. Account and Access

To use LocaleFlow, you must:

  • Have a valid Shopify store
  • Install the app through the Shopify App Store
  • Grant the necessary permissions for the app to function
  • Maintain accurate account information

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws
  • Attempt to circumvent usage limits or billing
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
  • Use the Service to translate content that is defamatory, obscene, or infringing
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization

5. Pricing and Payment

LocaleFlow offers subscription plans billed through Shopify's billing system. By subscribing:

  • You authorize recurring charges according to your selected plan
  • Prices may change with 30 days notice
  • Refunds are provided at our discretion
  • Unpaid amounts may result in service suspension

6. Translation Quality

LocaleFlow uses AI-powered translation technology. While we strive for accuracy:

  • Translations are generated automatically and may contain errors
  • You are responsible for reviewing translations for accuracy in your specific context
  • We do not guarantee that translations will be error-free or suitable for all purposes
  • Critical content should be reviewed by a qualified human translator

7. Intellectual Property

Your Content: You retain all rights to your original content. By using the Service, you grant us a license to process, translate, and store your content as necessary to provide the Service.

Our Service: LocaleFlow, including all software, design, and documentation, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our Service.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
  • Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim
  • We are not responsible for losses resulting from translation errors or service interruptions

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless LocaleFlow from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these terms.

10. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may:

  • Perform scheduled maintenance with advance notice when possible
  • Modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice
  • Suspend service for technical or security reasons

11. Termination

You may terminate your use of the Service at any time by uninstalling the app from your Shopify store.

We may terminate or suspend your access immediately, without notice, for any breach of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately, and we may delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes shall be resolved through good faith negotiation, and if necessary, binding arbitration.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
